Teaching and tutoring experience:
Served as an instructor of History and Politics at Veritas Summer School, a selective program for academically gifted students, delivering intensive coursework over a two-month period (https://www.veritasprograms.com/
). Additionally, provided personalized tutoring across diverse subjects including classical languages (Latin, Ancient Greek), English literature, History, and standardized test preparation (SAT).
Teaching style and philosophy:
I want to push students to think critically rather than just accept information. When a student doesn't understand something, I like to break a problem down into manageable pieces and make the reasoning clear. My hope is that students leave my classes as independent thinkers who know how to question, analyze, and construct arguments.
Additional information:
Based in NYC and available for in-person or remote tutoring anywhere. Beyond the classroom, I've led high school students on backpacking expeditions through Yale's Outdoor Orientation program, which taught me how to mentor young people in challenging environments and build their confidence outside academic settings. Outside of work, I'm an avid tennis player, hiker, and reader of ancient literature.
