Background:
My name is Ingrid. I'm originally from Shanghai but moved to the UK by myself to pursue education when I was 16. I attended an international boarding school, Abbey College Cambridge from 2018 to 2020, graduating with 3 A*'s in Psychology, Maths and History. I then went to the University of Oxford for Experimental Psychology and graduated with Congratulatory First, ranking 3rd in the entire cohort. Besides 3 A*'s and my first-class degree qualifications, I scored in the top 10% for TSA (Oxford admission test), an overall 8 on IELTS and 655 on GMAT (Focus) (equivalent to 710 on GMAT Classic).
I have been a passionate and dedicated private tutor since my A-Level years, teaching UK independent school entry exams, Maths and History (GCSE/A-LEVEL), Psychology (GCSE/A-LEVEL/Undergraduate), Oxbridge admissions (personal statement, TSA and mock interviews), IELTS and GMAT. My keen interest comes from my belief that education is the key to opportunities and social mobility. I want to contribute to enhancing education accessibility to students from diverse backgrounds.
With my deep subject knowledge, patience and dedication to offering teaching that is tailored to each individual's needs, my students have achieved amazing results. I'm resourceful at using a range of materials and techniques to address each students' unique needs and I'm keen to learn about my students' wider interest in the subject to guide them throughout their journey. In fact, with my expertise in psychology, I also have experience teaching students with special educational needs and disabilities, including dyslexia, ADHD and autism. Being international myself, I have rich experiences teaching both international and home students. I also care for my students' individual wellbeing, listening to their loneliness, homesickness and stress from studies and university applications. This is because I believe mental wellbeing should not be compromised by studies or work.

Additional information:
After graduation, I worked as a Research Analyst for a global mobility consulting firm in London. I also supervised some interns during my time there. I recently left this position for a career break so I have plenty of time on my hands to teach. In my spare time, I volunteer at local food banks and hubs, distributing food supplies and hosting dinners for locals in need.
I'm based in South Kensington and I'm willing to travel up to most of London bureaus to teach students. I have a flexible schedule so I'm happy to teach anytime of the day between 10am and 8.30pm on any day of the week.
