1. AMES Education, Vilnius, Lithuania — ESL Tutor January 2025- ongoing
Delivered English as a Foreign Language classes to individuals and groups.
Clients included prestigious governmental institutions such as the French Institute in Vilnius, the EU Commission, and various ministries within the Lithuanian government, such as the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Social Security and Labour, the Ministry of Transport, and the Ministry of Economy and Innovations.
Prepared government clients for public speeches, press interviews and meetings with foreign governmental agencies.
Prepared high school students for English language exams for university entrance on a one-on-one basis and in group settings, such as IELTS and Pearson, with two students achieving C1 level at 100% for Pearson PTE.

3. Freelance, online — English language, literature and foreign language teacher, July 2020- ongoing
I currently work as an online English language, literature and foreign language tutor for children, adults and group classes across a series of platforms such as Preply, Zoom, Skype and Google Classrooms.
During my time as a tutor, I have taught IELTS, English as a foreign language, English for business, grammar, reading and writing, conversational English, the British National Curriculum, including GCSE and A-Level English literature and English language, aswell as IGCSE English literature and language.
Taught a range of students from different backgrounds, abilities and ages, from Saudi Arabia, China, Russia, Poland, Italy, Spain, Ukraine, Switzerland, Korea, Japan, Yemen and Lithuania, from levels A1-C2.
During my time, I have helped students reach high grades in GCSE and IGCSE English Literature and Language, with students obtaining grades 8-9.
Planned and conducted English courses for adults seeking to progress in a range of careers, such as economics and law. Focused on real-life topics and practical language tasks, such as job interviews, professional exams and business English.
Planned and conducted English Literature, Language and English as a foreign language courses for young adults, children and adults, set and marked homework and exam papers, gave feedback to students and parents, and adapted lesson plans and approaches based on individual needs.
Successfully guided an ESL student to achieve A* in IGCSE English language and literature, and aided a student in landing his dream job at the Bank of Spain.

5. Prospero Teaching, Cardiff, UK —Secondary English language and literature teacher December 2022- April 2023
Worked for teaching agency Prospero Teaching to assist schools across Cardiff, UK, who needed additional support and cover for English as a foreign language and GCSE/ A-Level English literature and language lessons.
Assisted six form students studying A-Level Literature with assignments, coursework and university applications with direction from heads of departments.
Taught English as a foreign language to students ages 11-18 whose families had sought refugee status within the UK. Assisted students at a lower level of English with reading, writing and speaking, through a range of engaging activities, games and tasks. Assisted students at a higher level of English (16-18 years) with practical and business English for careers, further education and exams, such as IELTS, business English, practical skills, job interviews and applications.

6. The Tutor Trust, Manchester —Primary and secondary English tutor and AP/LAC tutor.
January 2020- January 2022
Worked for educational charity The Tutor Trust, which offers free tuition to disadvantaged primary, secondary and AP/LAC students across the North of England.
Received training over a two-month period on the British National Curriculum, GCSE, functional skills and A-Level for English literature and language. Tutors of The Tutor Trust are assessed on this regularly in order to proceed with work. From this, I have a strong knowledge of the British National Curriculum.
Planned and delivered a range of different GCSE English literature and English language classes to students across schools in the Greater Manchester area and online, monitored student progress and fed back to heads of department and parents.
Received outstanding feedback from Tutor Trust administrators who assessed the quality of my lessons, leading to my becoming a star tutor at The Tutor Trust.
Taught functional skills English classes at provisional education units. I was responsible for safeguarding students and monitoring their progress, assisting students who had dyslexia, autism, disabilities, and mental health issues, planning and delivering engaging English lessons, feeding back weekly to coordinators to establish successes and weaknesses, and adapting lessons in accordance with this.

7. PINC College, Salford Art Gallery and Museum —Creative Learning Support October 2021-October 2022
Worked as a creative learning support at a specialist arts college for neurodivergent young people aged 15-25.
As part of my role, I assisted a neurodivergent young person whose second language was English. With the support of the lead art teacher, I used the content of our art workshops, such as mould making, painting, sculpture and photography, to introduce new vocabulary and sentence structures to the student, which would be accessible according to their needs.
Conducted and planned 1:1 English lessons with the student, in which I incorporated engaging and accessible materials, games and activities for the student to improve their speaking, writing, listening and reading.
Was responsible for well-being at the college, creating student profiles in which I interviewed students to understand their needs and designed a series of workshops and activities to assist them accordingly, using guidelines from BAAT (such as clay therapy work and sound painting).

Taught members of foreign embassies in English for diplomacy, as well as students working in healthcare, business, and marketing, preparing them for overseas conferences.
Helped students achieve career progression through tailored lessons focused on practical and professional English skills, including job interview preparation and industry-specific training.

Teaching style and philosophy:

My teaching philosophy is rooted in a student-centred approach, with a strong emphasis on confidence-building. I believe every student has the potential to succeed, and that an empathetic, flexible teacher plays a key role in unlocking this. By adapting to individual learning styles, I aim to support students in developing both their ability and their confidence over time.

I apply this by taking the time to understand each student’s goals, interests, and preferred learning style. From this, I create a personalised learning plan that maps out a clear and effective path towards their objectives. Where possible, I relate subject content to students’ interests, helping them see the relevance of their learning—particularly in subjects like English—so they not only achieve exam success, but also develop essential life skills and independence.

Additional information:

As well as teaching, I also work as a set designer and artist within film and live performance. I have directed and designed performances for top artistic institutions in the Baltic states (such as SMC/CAC Vilnius) and have worked with prestigious clients such as the classical music composer, Phillip Glass. I hold a qualification in art direction and architectural drafting for film and television from FDI, Pinewood Studios (London). Due to this, I also possess the experience and qualifications to teach art and design within these areas.
I am a lifelong lover of literature, and am currently working on publishing my first book with Pariah Press publishing house.
