Teaching and tutoring experience
Madeleine is currently studying for her PhD in Medical Imaging, at the interface of Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. She was an academic scholar at Cranleigh, a National Show Jumping Champion and has a First in Chemistry from Bristol.
Madeleine has extensive experience tutoring 11+ and GCSE Maths and Science over the past three years, helping numerous students to achieve top grades in both the A* and the 9-1 system. As an interdisciplinary scientist, she enjoys uncovering connections between concepts to help make things memorable and understandable.
Madeleine is also a producer of a science podcast, and she is also part of a UK-wide organisation which hosts events with the aim of engaging the public with researchers, whether they’re scientists, historians, or within corporate research. She hopes to spark curiosity in her students, and understands the need to support her tutees through listening to them and providing encouragement.
Madeleine is DBS certified.
Additional information
Madeleine lives in South West London and is available in evenings and on some weekends (when organised in advance). When she’s not working, she trains for half-Ironman triathlons and adventure races.
