Built by a Teacher, Not a Boardroom

Before Pegasus, I spent years teaching inside the UK's top schools — and I also worked as a tutor for other agencies. What I saw there didn't sit right with me. Commissions so large they had to be justified with marketing polish rather than the service actually being delivered, so families were paying premium fees without always getting a premium match. Decisions about how to run an education business being made by people who'd never taught a lesson. And some of the best tutors I knew leaving within a year or two, because the deal they were being offered simply wasn't fair either.

None of that struck me as good for anyone. So I built the agency I wished existed — fair enough to tutors that our best ones actually stay with us for years, and good enough for families that it never needs fluff to sell itself.
