Teaching and tutoring experience

Tom has extensive experience tutoring Physics and Mathematics to students preparing for their Common Entrance, GCSEs, A-Levels and university entrance over the past five years. He has also taught English and coached sport at Mouslford Prep School, as well as teaching Maths and English at the BE Education Summer School at Tonbridge School.

Tom in a highly experienced Physicist, and as well as teaching at Imperial College he is currently also working at the Oxford Physics Microstructure Detector facility, following up on his Masters Research Project. This involves testing the prototype HV-CMOS detectors for potential use at CERN.

Additional information

Tom is a keen sportsman, and is an experienced marathon runner. In 2016 he ran 10 marathons in 10 days, raising money for a charity in Oxfordshire which helps unsupported disabled adults. He has also competed in the Kindrochit Quadrathalon, raising money for the Armed Forces Fund, a charity which funds the children and families of lost soldiers. Tom also holds a Guinness World Record for the fastest 100 miles on a treadmill with a team of 12.
